I've been making things for as long as I can remember. I started my first "shop" at the age of 10 when I crocheted a whole supply of barbie scarfs and pretended to sell them to barbies. In college I majored in studio art, and fell in love with bookbinding. Specifically the exposed spine Coptic Stitch. I started Parkside Harmony in February of 2009. Every book is made entirely by hand, by me. Each sheet of Stonehenge paper is hand cut, hand torn, hand folded, and hand sewn in my small studio off the garden in sunny Arizona. Every book is unique.

Behind the scenes

Parkside Harmony books are all made with Stonehenge 100% cotton paper. This tree free paper is produced in the United States from an ISO 9001 certified mill and the mill uses alternative energy (powered by it's own water supply) to produce the paper. In addition to being an eco-friendly paper, it is a heavy weight 90 lb. paper chosen by artists all over the world. It is a dream to write, draw, sketch, and glue on. Parkside Harmony books are made entirely by hand by me in sunny Arizona. Almost all my books are made during the daylight hours making excellent use of our 330+ days of full sun. All pages are cut, torn, folded, and sewn by hand by me.
