DESCRIPTION

This fun handmade short jean skirt has a flirty double layer ruffle attached to a jean yoke.

Pretty, feminine and comfortable to wear this skirt is sure to be a favourite.

Ruffles are made of new all cotton print fabric remnants from sheet factory in shades of navy blue and grey with cream motif. The yoke is upcycled from a pair of low rise 'Good' - Glassons denim division jeans - 100% cotton and size 10. Two pockets at the front and two at the back. Fly front with zip and two buttons. 'Diva' is written across the back in white

Because everybody has a different preference as to where on their body a jean skirt rides - at the waist or lower. I do strongly recommend measuring for fit.

The easiest way to tell if a skirt will fit is to put a string the length of waist measurement around your middle. This will show you where the skirt will ride on your body. Do the same at the hips and check the length from waist.

The original size tag on this garment is a 10, BUT...

Jeans do change size from laundering, besides varying enormously in size from brand to brand. So, I measure and size all skirts using a standardized chart.

Based on the body measurements for Australian Standard sizes this skirt translates to a women's size 10 or 12.

The skirt should be about 2cm larger in the waist and 2-5cm larger in the hips than your measurements. This difference is known as wearing ease and it allows you to breathe and move comfortably.
